Here, I am creating a hollow object using OnShape as my Computer Aided Design program. I start by creating a solid extrusion, and then I select the shell feature. After selecting the shell feature, I select a surface on the extrusion that I want to be open. The extrusion is then hollowed out with the selected surface being an open face, and I can control the thickness of the walls of the remaining volume.
